Just found this show…and I’m so hoping to have a chance at more seasons than just the one! BUT! If one is all I get then I’m glad I was able to see the one I did. It’s worth it just for the feel of a totally different angle on the settlements along the Canadian & US border and the characters…Oh my – the word “character” does NOT half expose the reader to the full meaning of the word as it pertains to these fascinating women. They had it tough, but for the majority of them, they are women who overcome at great cost! Good news is, that as the article below (see link) indicates that season one of Strange Empire was sold from the CBC to Lifetime Movie Network (LMN)…so, fingers crossed – Maybe they’ll pick it up and do more with it in the next coming months??? One can only hope, right?
